Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter
Job description
CenterPointe Hospital is a private, 150-bed psychiatric hospital that provides life-changing care for adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Inpatient and outpatient treatment are provided for a range of mental health and substance abuse disorders.
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for multiple aspects of the onboarding process for both inpatient and outpatient positions for the facility. Also responsible for the coordination, preparation and implementation of the monthly New Employee Orientation. Assists with other human resource duties as assigned.
- Refers qualified applicants to Directors/Managers for follow-up interviews as needed.
- Coordinates job offers and employment screenings/background checks.
- Prepares all offer letters, ensuring the accuracy of content.
- Prepares and maintains integrity of salary offers and ensures consistency and fairness of pay.
- Enters all personnel changes (new hires, status changes, terminations) into HRIS system. Processes all changes accurately and within time frames required for payroll processing.
- Audits and processes all annual licensure renewals and verifications for CPH licensed staff.
- Responsible for the annual performance evaluations process.
- Organizes and distributes evaluations to managers/supervisors.
- Tracks and maintains receipt log for company-wide evaluations.
- Calculates and communicates raises based on employee scores as needed.
- Enters all wage increases into payroll systems within the timeframe required for processing payroll.
- Prepares, distributes and tracks receipt and filing of all mandatory departmental checklists and 90-day reviews, providing management with reports of deficiencies when applicable.
- Assists new employees with completion of their new hire paperwork.
- Assures all required items are obtained to include, but not limited to: I-9 documents, licensure, certification, etc.
- Attends staff meetings as required.
- Attends and helps coordinate Employee Recognition Program and other recognition events.
- Provides and encourages clear communication among all employees.
- Prepares quarterly Governing Board Statistics for CPH, or more frequently if needed.
- Prepares monthly turnover/new hire reports for CPH.
- Prepares special reports, documents, and projects for members of Senior Management and CBHS as requested.
- Posts available job openings for CPH and CPH Columbia on various job sites as requested.
- Responsible for updating/maintaining employee position descriptions as requested by managers.
- Drafts new position descriptions as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Sufficient experience in human resources, preferably in a hospital setting.
SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of TJC, employment law and any other applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
- Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Windows applications.
- Excellent organizational, detail oriented, analytical, training and presentation skills required.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
