Striper's Waterside Restaurant at The Breakwater Inn & Spa is actively searching for a friendly Restaurant Host to join our team.

This is a Part-Time position on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

The Breakwater Inn and Spa is situated on the Kennebunk River, offering 35 guest rooms with incredible views of coastal Maine. Job Summary:

• Greet, direct, and seat, guests in accordance with company service standards.
• Manage all reservations, guest wait lists, and rotation of tables, as guided by the F&B Manager.
• Assist Dining Room Attendants and Servers as needed, including busing and cleaning tables, setting tables, and running food.
• Be thoroughly familiar with menu items, promotions offered, hotel offerings, and related materials.
• Complete designated side work efficiently and thoroughly. Clean and maintain all working areas and equipment.
• Assist in resolving any complaints, and communicate disgruntled customers to the appropriate supervisor.

Required Experience:

• 18 years old +
• Must feel comfortable with technology. Working knowledge of Open Table a plus.
• Restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a constructive, team working environment with a positive, upbeat and customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to operate smoothly under pressure and stress.
• Flexibility to work nights or mornings, weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal days (i.e. town festivals).
• Successful completion of background check and/or DMV check.'

Pay: $15.00 per hour
