OBC is searching for a dynamic Full-Time Front Desk Team Member.

Office hours are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greets patients and visitors and confirms appointments by verifying the time and type of scheduled appointment in Central Reach.
  • Checks for completion of necessary consents and intake paperwork as part of the check in process for new patients, and tracks both private-pay and commercial insurance patients to collect co-pay and out of pocket costs for services.
  • Collects and renders co-pay and private-pay amounts as patients check-in, and scans receipt over to the billing department.
  • Answers, screens and forwards incoming phone calls to correct personnel.
  • Monitors and maintains all forms of provider and patient communication including but not limited to phone calls, emails, text messages, and in person conversations.
  • At times assists the lead patient service coordinator with the scheduling for newly approved patients entering OBC and confirming appointments via email reminders.
  • At times assists the intake coordinator with obtaining patients insurance cards, acquiring completed intake paperwork, and getting updated primary care scripts.
  • Assists the billing department with the tracking and collection of payments and maintains patient’s account balances on the ‘Outstanding Co-Pay Private Pay’ excel sheet by updating recent payments.
  • Tracks late cancellations and no-shows on ‘Make Up Session’ excel sheet and follows attendance policy protocol to inform patients of their attendance and assist with sending out attendance letters.
  • Manages and maintains schedules in Central Reach up to date within 24 hours of request, by monitoring the ‘Appointment Request’ excel sheet.
  • Actively participates in team meetings to support key functions within the practice.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English
  • Fluent bilingual Spanish speaking ability
  • Ability to multi-task at a high level with multiple distractions from surrounding area; intense ability to focus yet maintain a keen awareness of surroundings
  • Pass background check

Preferred:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in general office occupations, security occupations or equivalent education and computer experience.
  • Exemplary follow-through, customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of business English, spelling, punctuation, grammar and basic arithmetic.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Must be flexible and possess the ability to work independently, keep accurate records and be extremely detail oriented.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and think on your feet in accordance with policy, maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job and handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computer (Chromebook/PC), multi-line telephone system, Google Suite and Microsoft Office experience.
  • Experience with and/or ability to learn proprietary software programs including but not limited to Central Reach.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
