Job description

We are seeking an ambitious and reliable Groundskeeper to perform day-to-day building maintenance at our local Alturas commercial real estate facilities. General duties will include removing debris, maintaining common areas, responding to emergencies, and working closely with the Alturas Facilities Team to assist in facilities management needs.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, and dedicated, practice good communication, work well with tenants and be able to handle a variety of duties. You will work with management to create an effective maintenance schedule, and operation solutions and are willing to expand your knowledge of facilities operations.

Responsibilities:

• Complete minor repairs and building improvements
• Clean exterior common areas.
• When applicable, place safety hazard signs in and around buildings
• Monitor overall cleanliness and operations of the facilities.
• Respond to any major emergencies
• Remove litter and rubbish from all common areas.
• Help order supplies required for facility maintenance.
• Report all items needing repair.
• Landscaping
• Snow Removal

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or relevant qualification is required.
• 6 – 12 months of porter or commercial property maintenance experience.
• Able to respond to emergencies
• Must be reliable and professional.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Prepared to execute all duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
