About the Role

The Full Time Digital YogaWorks Teacher is a member of a small group of core teachers digitally exclusive to YogaWorks. They are highly trained, dedicated and understand first-hand the joy and power of yoga.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Teaching Livestream & On-Demand

• Lead 6-10 livestream high quality and inspiring yoga classes per week, as scheduled by the programming team, pursuant to company standards.
• Participate in and create content for 4-6video/photo shoots per year to provide on-demand content for the digital library and marketing purposes.
• Work up to 40/hrs per week while remaining flexible and agile with the ability to adjust schedules as needed to meet student needs.
• Maintain digital exclusivity with YogaWorks for all online, livestream and on-demand content for the duration of Full Time employment.
• Collaborate with the Teacher Manager & Director via class audits, changes and reviews to ensure successful and dynamic programming.
• Teach with authentic expression that reflects an in-depth knowledge of current scientific research.
• Ability to demonstrate poses while simultaneously teaching both livestream and on-demand classes.
• Attend and/or teach as needed in-person events including, but not limited to: festivals, pop-up classes and brand partnership events.

Brand Ambassadorship

• Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with marketing and product to create a variety of high-impact content including, but not limited to: blog posts, reels, and photos that educate and activate our audience.
• Regularly engage with YogaWorks-owned social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and TikTok) to foster community. This can take the form of commenting, liking, and reacting to content.
• Promote YogaWorks content in your marketing channels such as e-mail newsletters, social media, and blog posts.
• Write creative and on-brand content for multiple platforms, as well as visual designs, in partnership with our creative team, as needed.
• Speak positively about the YogaWorks brand, our students, and other team members including instructors.

Community Building & Teamwork

• Effectively collaborate with sponsors/partners, team members, and co-workers.
• Awareness of consumer habits/shifts, market forces, competitive opportunities/threats as it relates to our strategy and business objectives.
• Provide info and recommendations to pivot and refine plans.
• Any other tasks required to help the company meet its goals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 1,000 hours of training
• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience total and 2 years digital teaching experience
• Experience using Zoom video streaming software or equivalent
• Experience creating and providing content on social media platforms

Skill Set

• Provide creative and motivational yoga classes online and as needed in-person settings
• Monitor students to ensure student-teacher connection during live classes
• Provide a safe space for students to practice yoga
• Passion for the product we sell (i.e., yoga/fitness) and ability to understand and clearly communicate the different products/programs we offer
• Must be customer focused and deliver company’s high level of customer service at all times in a professional, courteous, sensitive and friendly manner
• Ability to stay calm at all times and act respectfully and professionally
• Dependable, accountable and responsible with excellent attendance and punctuality
• Flexible schedule and ability to travel
• Strong writing and verbal skills
• Able to use computers and effectively use software systems

Work Environment

The Full Time Teacher operates primarily remotely but will also require as needed travel for filming and other in-person events. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, including, but not limited to: computers, microphones, lights and phones.

Physical Requirements

• Able to perform and demonstrate exercises and postures relevant to class style(s).
• Physically able to lift and carry 1-10 lb. equipment.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust and focus.
• Adjust and operate equipment.
• Strong verbal skills (proficient in speaking and understanding English)
• Must be able to effectively hear in person and via telephone.
