What you will have an opportunity to do:

If you have experience with high volume bartending at banquet events, enjoy making meaningful connections, figuring out what it takes and stepping it up to win the day is what you do, and you love it, we want you! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Takes orders from customers or server.

Serves alcohol responsibly and adheres to Washington State Liquor Laws.

Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.

Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.

Collects money for drinks served.

Orders or requisitions liquors and supplies.

Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.

Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.

Performs set up and breakdown of banquet rooms with tables, chairs, etc.

Is knowledgeable about the wine list, wines-by-the-glass, liqueur, liquor, ports and cocktails.

Serves guests according to the specific group contract.

Writes order on check or memorizes it.

Relays order to Banquet Captain and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.

Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.

Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined by establishment's size and practices.

Busses tables.

Clears and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course.

Complete set up for the following shift.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Hiring wage: $38.00/hour + Tips

• Eligible for medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and life insurance under our existing group plans
• Eligible for 401(k) retirement plan with employer match following 1 year of service under our existing plan
• 11 days of PTO accrued in the first year based on an employee working 40 hours each week

What are we looking for?

• Someone with 2-4 years of bartending experience, preferably Banquet service
• Someone with experience in a 4-star, 5-star venue
• Someone with knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
• Someone who is able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Someone with a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
• Someone with excellent communication skills
• Someone with current certification/license to be a bartender
• Current WA State food handler's permit
• Current MAST permit
