Today, our team of more than 800 editors, citation, and layout experts worldwide provides proofreading and editing in 10 different languages to help students achieve their academic goals.
Combining years of experience in academic writing with technical know-how, we have successfully expanded our service portfolio by electronic tools like the Plagiarism Checker, Citation Generator, Citation Checker, and a public Knowledge Base, which is used by millions of students and educators every year.

About the role
Millions of students worldwide rely on Scribbr to achieve academic writing success. This level of responsibility requires excellence in creating, designing, developing, delivering, and supporting every piece of functionality that we launch.
We are looking for experienced front-end engineers to help build our unique set of academic writing tools.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Work on the hugely popular Citation Generator. With 3 million active users per month, it's the most popular citation generator globally. Our goal is to increase that number to 20 million monthly users, and we’re full of ideas to make it even more helpful to students.
- Contribute to our existing set of unique writing tools and help launch brand new ones.
You work in a multidisciplinary team, including Full-stack and other Front-end Engineers, Product Designers, and a Product Manager.
We work in a hybrid model, with three days a week in office culture as our baseline.
Tech stack
We use all kinds of technologies in the company. For our writing tools, the main technologies are TypeScript, Node, Express, React, Webpack/esbuild, Redis, PostgreSQL, Knex, and Tailwind CSS, to name a few.
