We are currently seeking a Fitness Director (FD) for our Cambridge location. Reporting to the club General Manager and Director of Personal Training, the FD is a senior leader in the club contributing to the club and companies’ overall success and strategy. They are not only a leader in the club but also responsible for leading and coaching the club’s personal training programs. In addition, you will create your own training clientele and be instrumental in supporting members’ efforts in reaching their fitness goals.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Several years of fitness leadership experience including hiring, coaching, educating, and overseeing teams
• Successful track record of promoting and selling fitness programs and creating goals for themselves and a team
• Committed to the overall success of the club through supporting the club in day-to-day operations as needed to ensure top notch facilities and excellent customer service
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work and communicate with diverse individuals and groups
• Experience with developing trainers in building their sessions and provides constructive and disciplinary action when needed
• Ability to execute multiple tasks at once, handle multiple projects simultaneously and remain resilient in a fast-paced environment
• Organized, flexible and resourceful
• Computer-savvy and proficient in using Microsoft Office
• Desire to constantly develop and improve employee and member experience
• A willingness to work some weekends, evenings and holidays as needed

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Current national personal training certification and CPR/AED certification
• 2+ Years with a successful Personal Training business including sales and program design experience
• 1+ years of experience leading a large team with a successful record in reaching KPIs
• Additional certifications a plus
• Preferred: Bachelors in Exercise Physiology. Relevant education/experience will be considered
