Your New Role

The WB Games Free to Play (F2P) team is a fast growing, dynamic group of studios developing highly innovative games based on Warner Bros. Discovery’s most valuable franchises. Reporting to the Director of Finance, Free to Play Studios, this Finance Manager position will provide broad financial support to the F2P studio executive leadership, including assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, management reporting and dashboards, and a variety of financial analysis. This position emphasizes both strong analytical capabilities and strong business-partnering.

Your Role Accountabilities

Manage the preparation, analysis, and reporting of production and studio overhead budgets

Partner with studio management, game producers, publishing, and home office to help manage overall game P&Ls, develop early warnings of revenue and cost variances, and actions to address

Help lead strategic planning process for the F2P Studios and participate in the greenlight process Prepare financial reporting including Budget vs. Actual results, weekly revenue & related metrics, headcount, and operating expenses

Conduct monthly P&L reviews with functional heads

Liaise with central services teams (Publishing, Analytics, Core Tech, QA, CS, Loc, etc.) to communicate key updates and reflect impacts on full product P&Ls in both actuals and forecast Partner with accounting to support monthly close process and support the purchase order process Prepare other ad hoc analysis, reports and special projects as required by director of finance and other senior management

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience
  • Experience in budgeting, general accounting, financial analysis
  • B.A. or B.S. degree required; Accounting or Finance concentration preferred
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Technical activities will include accessing the mainframe and SAP systems and utilizing various software packages to provide, retrieve, update, and analyze financial data. Software includes, but is not limited to:
  • MS Office Suite (proficient in using macros and pivot tables)
  • SAP/Business Warehouse
  • Adaptive Planning
  • Familiarity with Hyperion Essbase desired
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and strong interpersonal skills are essential
  • Ability to lead projects and bring them to a successful conclusion within given timeframes
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff & management
  • Ability to independently meet deadlines while understanding when to communicate updates, follow up, and seek guidance from management
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities professionally
  • Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $95,550.00 - $177,450.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
