Description
Ascent Classical Academies is seeking a facility manager for its two campuses: in Lone Tree, Colorado (Denver area) and Windsor, Colorado (Fort Collins area). Both buildings are fully occupied by Ascent Classical Academies students requiring administrative and supervisory work in the operational and business area of the organization. The Lone Tree school houses approximately 800 students, and the Windsor Campus 600. The facility manager is responsible for construction and renovation management; maintaining the integrity of the facilities; ensuring code, contractual and regulatory requirements are met; and that facility resources are managed effectively. The facility manager is a salaried, exempt position with a 12-month work schedule. The facility manager will report to the Director of Operations.
The facility manager’s essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:
Building and Grounds
- Supervise school employees and custodial services firm completing custodial and maintenance tasks on campus.
- Oversee custodial and maintenance work.
- Verify completion of work orders received in StaffLinks.
- Contact security as necessary.
- Serve as daily contact for outside facility contractors and vendors.
- Assist in the development of budget recommendations for the school.
- Scrutinize facility wear and tear and make recommendations as to facility improvement (i.e., carpet replacement, exterior and interior paint, turf).
- Prepare and process facility use agreement forms using established school procedures.
- Manage security access system.
- Manage key control program.
- Serve as liaison to construction and expansion team and sub-contractors.
- Respond to issues promptly and courteously with a strong customer service focus.
- Liaise with school staff to report and resolve any issues relating to the physical operation of the building.
- Review and approval of vendor invoices.
School Readiness Program
- Conduct and report on fire and tornado drills.
- Coordinate and report on health and safety inspections.
- Coordinate and report on fire inspections.
Desired Start Date: Immediate
Salary Range: $40,000 - $55,000 depending on experience and/or qualifications
Schedule and Classification: Full-Time Exempt year-round

Requirements
- Three years broad, varied and increasingly responsible relevant experience and with budgeting, computer information systems, and organizational procedures
- Charter school experience desirable
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of buildings, maintenance and service
- Experience liaising with clients, tenants, consultants and local authorities
- Managing third party contractors and vendors
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Management, or related discipline desired
- Travel between campuses in Lone Tree, Colorado and Windsor, Colorado and headquarters in Golden, CO required
