Social Advocates for Youth (SAY) is a leading provider of support and life readiness services to at-risk youth, ages 0-25, in Sonoma County. Social Advocates for Youth provides services in three areas: housing, counseling and career services.

Job Title: Executive Assistant/Board Liaison
Department: Administration
Reports to: CEO
Status: Non-Exempt/Part-Time (25 hrs./week)
Pay: $28 - $30/Hr. (DOE)
Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the position supports the CEO and serves as liaison with the agency’s Board of Directors.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
· Directly support the Chief Executive Officer with filing, correspondence, calls, mail, Zoom meeting support and calendaring meetings
· Provide administrative support to the agency’s Board of Directors, including, but not limited to, the preparation of Board minutes, meeting packets, agendas, room set-up and attending Board meetings
· Provide administrative support to Board committees
· Serve as liaison between Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors
· Responsible for planning Board meetings
· Maintain strict confidentiality on all agency matters
· Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Intermediate-to-advanced skills with Microsoft Outlook and cloud-based applications
· Proficient in Excel
· Experience working with donors and elected officials
· Ability to work well with and collaborate with Board members
Physical, Environmental and Mental Requirements:
· Physical: Frequently required to perform moderately difficult manipulative tasks such as typing, writing, filing, etc.
· Must be able sit for extended periods, ascend/descend stairs.
· Sensory: Frequently required to read documents, written reports, and plans.
· Must be able to speak clearly and understand/be understood using the English language and be
· Cognitive: Frequently required to concentrate on moderate detail with frequent interruption. Must be able to attend to a task/function for 20-45 minutes at a time. Frequently required to understand and relate to specific ideas, several at a time.
· Environmental Conditions: Frequent exposure to varied office and mixed (residential/office) environments. Occasional exposure to outdoors.
· Equipment: Frequently required to use a computer, phone and copy machine.
Note: Must pass criminal background and sanctions check, TB screening, COVID testing, and requirements to drive on SAY business.
