Environmental Site Manager-Martinez, CA

APTIM Federal Services, as a Joint Venture partner with HydroGeoLogic, Inc. (HGL), is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Site Manager to support onsite operations associated with environmental response actions at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Defense Fuel Support Point (DFSP) Ozol Project located in Martinez, CA. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position will have direct responsibility for coordinating field teams comprised of Joint Venture professional staff, craft personnel, and subcontractors collectively focused on the successful execution of all onsite activities. The successful candidate will have an established background as a Site Manager with experience in environmental investigation, remediation, and emergency response. Strong interpersonal skills are required, including the ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both written and verbally, to all project team members. This is a fulltime, salaried exempt position, for the duration of the base contract period (through October 31, 2024).

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Be available on-site between 0800 to 1630 PT, Monday thru Friday, PT, and be available via telephone during periods when remedial operations are conducted on a continuous (24-hour) basis.
• For site emergencies, possess the ability to be onsite within 4 hours' notice.
• In coordination with the field management team, provide oversight of field operations to facilitate onsite work activities.
• Assist the field management team in developing and maintaining a schedule of field activities, communicating the schedule to the Project Manager, and providing timely, advance notice of needs, potential schedule conflicts, etc.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager to access labor resources to provide support in advance, and during, field activities.
• Prepare Daily Production Report, summarizing work completed on various task orders, summing all work hours, providing end of month totals to the Project Manager.
• Interface with East Bay Regional Park supervision (tenant at DFSP Ozol) to maintain security and safety at the facility.
• Coordinate with management team to maintain up-to-date required training for field staff.
• Possess a "Safety First" work ethic, responsible for executing all field tasks in a safe and responsible manner; ensures that any safety incidents are communicated and managed in accordance with company and client protocols.

Basic Qualifications:

• Requires Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in one of the interdisciplinary academic fields integrated into Environmental sciences and/or environmental engineering, such as geology, hydrogeology, geophysics, etc.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience serving in an environmental field services lead capacity.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER training with current 8-hour OSHA refresher
• Site Supervisor training or equivalent
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety
• Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification (desirable)
• Must be qualified and in good standing to work on a Federal Government installation under a U.S. Department of Defense contract.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

The targeted salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000
