OBJECTIVE SUMMARY: The Environment of Care Specialist is accountable for all survey readiness and
programming of Environment of Care and Emergency Preparedness operations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Duties include the scheduling of meetings, drills, events and appointments related to
Environment of Care and Emergency Preparedness. Manages the schedule to coordinate with
other departments and committees.
Knowledge of Environment of Care and Emergency Preparedness requirements preferred.
Administrate the planning and execution of required Emergency Preparedness drills and
exercises.
Facilitate Environment of Care and Emergency Preparedness committees.
Complete documentation, forms, paperwork for projects and assignments.
Written and verbal communication with vendors, patients, families, staff, healthcare facilities,
and medical practices.
Maintain files and databases to assure compliance with reporting and documentation
requirements.
Generating reports to provide information for staff, management and others as requested. Provide information as requested on resources and services to meet organizational needs,
through research on internet and other sources of knowledge; professional organizations
(WSHA, DOH, CMS, WSSHE, NFPA etc.)
Manage and maintain CMMS for maintenance and biomedical work orders.
Create and manage documents through the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and
PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Lucidoc.
Coordinate meetings both internal and external to the organization

REQUIRED EDUCATION: High school graduate
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate’s degree or formal education in administrative field preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 3+ years’ experience in Microsoft Office Suite
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 3 years’ experience in a facilities/maintenance support position
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS: Valid WA driver License


WORK ENVIRONMENT: Both office and outdoors, hospital grounds.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to sit for long periods. Lifting up to 20 pounds.

Eligibility Requirements - Employees regularly scheduled at least 20 hours per week.
