Primary Responsibilities

· Acts as a business link.

· Serves as a representation of the Business Organization.

· Builds up the reputation of the business.

· Ensure HR internal and external service is provided always, in accordance with the expectations and company guidelines.

· Uses HR expertise a to provide day to day management, attention and services across all departments and employees.

· Responsible for providing expert consultative and problem-solving services regarding HR policies and best practices.

· Collaborates as Employee Relations SME on a broad range of employee relations issues including performance management, investigations, disciplinary actions, terminations, harassment, discrimination, and other policy related issues.

· Maintain updated knowledge of relevant labor laws, regulations, company policies & procedures, and ensure are executed consistently within the business and the appropriate legal and compliance processes are followed.

· Research practices, interprets policies, and recommends procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

· Manage policies creation and timely update of employee handbook.

· Properly escalate and provide guidance on dispute resolutions, policy breach, practice inquiries, performance management, workplace accommodations, and other appropriately assigned cases.

· Manage HR Investigations, as assigned, with guidance from company executives and/or manager.

· Receive and review employee complaints and conduct and documents investigations in collaboration with company delegated managers.

· In collaboration with company executives, conducts or supports investigations into employee relations issues and, under general supervisions provide guidance and accurate and timely response to concerns as well as expedited solutions to problems.

· Effectively and accurately manage and maintains confidential & sensitive data of the company, officers, and all types of employees.

· Participate in, or leads company initiatives, social responsibility activities, amoung other projects.

· Provide and/or coordinate required & optional training of all employees, with special focus in the learning development of leaders and managers.

· Conduct presentations as needed to employees and management on employee relations topics. Support training programs for various levels within the organization on company policy, sexual harassment, legal issues, and performance appraisals, etc…

· Analyze HR in industry trends and help plan / develop new HR initiatives or projects to support the business requirement and needs.

· Manage onboarding, retention, and termination process of all employees/candidates.

· Develop and present corrective action program to include counseling managers and employees on performance management including performance improvement plans, and the disciplinary and corrective action process. Use judgment based on experience and circumstances to accelerate corrective action as appropriate. Recommend termination of employment, when appropriate, and oversee the termination process.

· Provide counseling managers on progressive discipline, highlighting the legal requirements and ramifications.

· Gather employee relations relevant information and appropriately document information related to cases and recommended outcomes.

· Identify & consult appropriate/effective resolutions to minimize any legal exposure.

· Participate and represent company at investigative conferences, unemployment hearings and meetings.

· Follow & improve standardized procedures for investigations to ensure legal compliance as well as fair and efficient resolution of all employee relations matters in collaboration with the company legal & compliance counsels.

· Identify and analyze employee relations matters and recommend appropriate employment action to maintain a productive work environment, achieve optimal performance, and minimize risk.

Requirements and Relevant Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience (or with Masters’ degree , minimum experience is 2 years).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Psychology or related discipline.
  • Broad view of problem looking at all alternatives and assessing impact before recommending a solution.
  • Demonstrates ability to plan, organize and execute to achieve favorable outcomes. Being able to execute while balancing risk with business objectives.
  • Strong organizational skills that include taking appropriate action to move open cases forward to resolution in a timely manner.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills that support building strong partnerships, appropriate influence, and portraying an objective and defensible position on situations.
  • Exercise strong business judgment that is aligned with organizational values and practices and is compliant with regulations.
  • Makes effective decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead highly functional teams.
  • Legal and compliance knowledge of employment law and regulations.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Base Salary and Benefits

- Base Salary: Between 47k & 53k base on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $47,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
