ATC Healthcare is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team at 107 Jumel Street in Staten Island. As a DSP, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. You will help clients with their daily activities, including meal preparation, medication administration, personal hygiene, and recreational activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document medication administration accurately.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for clients.
• Engage clients in recreational and social activities, and assist with community outings.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' physical and emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to lift and transfer clients as necessary.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
