What You Will Do
The Director of Career Development and Learning will play a critical role in developing our most important asset – our people. Reporting to the SVP of Human Resources, you will take the lead in delivering impactful learning and career growth opportunities for our team members. You will develop programs that inspire, grow, and develop our teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences across the portfolio and achieve sustainable financial success.
Lead Newcastle's employee learning platform, Newcastle University, to develop and advance our team to amazing career experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and deliver a multi-channeled learning program across our property operations teams and corporate functions.
- Partner with the business to evaluate our performance management process and develop a formal coaching program for ongoing team member feedback.
- Create and implement a management development program to enhance and strengthen leadership capabilities.
- Lead the onboarding program to successfully integrate new and promoted team members into their position and the firm.
- Work with the senior management team to develop individual development plans for all team members.
- Deploy advanced training initiatives to engage, retain, and develop our current team members, such as mentorship programs and team-building activities that will improve how we perform.
- Identify and manage vendors and consultants to assist in planning, creating, and implementing training programs.
- Create, own and track learning metrics and KPIs to quantify the learning programs to evaluate the return on investment and the impact on our team members.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in learning development and training responsibilities.
- The ability to develop presentations and teach team members at all levels and sizes.
- Detail-oriented, independent thinker with the ability to prioritize and shift focus as necessary.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in real estate or similar firms is preferred but not required.
- The ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce.
- Proficient, high level of ability in Learning Management Systems (Yardi strongly preferred), as well as a sound understanding of training platform, preferably Yardi Aspire.
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
