Job description
Southeast Lineman Training Center (SLTC) is looking for a custodian to maintain and protect our facilities by cleaning, tidying, and sanitizing the premises.
Responsibilities include:
- Keep buildings and property clean and in orderly condition
- Perform heavy cleaning duties
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors
- Gather and empty trash
- Dust furniture, walls, and equipment
- Clean and sanitize toilets and sinks and restock disposables
- Clean windows and mirrors
- Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions
- Follows procedures for use of chemicals and cleaners to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture
- Notifies manager regarding the need for repairs
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities needed:
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors
- Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
- Experience using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, mops, and cleaning solutions
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for prolong periods of time
- Ability to climb ladders
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
