Creative Manager


Overall Job Description:


The Creative Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of digital and print creative content, while collaborating with and providing direction to our production and fulfillment agency. This role requires exceptional visual and design skills, as well as mastery of color, composition, typography, form and story. He/she will have the ability to lead while still being hands on because they can both strategize and execute. The right candidate will be great at ideation and problem solving and enjoy the challenge of operating among ambiguity. He/she will be a collaborative, skilled communicator who can easily liaison across multiple teams both internally and externally.


Role and Responsibilities:


  • Concept, design, maintain and implement various print, digital, and social projects across B2C, B2B, and B2E areas of the business. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Consumer advertising, signage and in-store collateral
    • Digital advertising (social media, display ads, extensions of video assets, etc.)
    • Multimedia advertising
    • Corporate Marketing (Franchise sales, investor relations, tradeshow materials, newsletters, internal communication assets and more)
    • Training materials (branded policy and procedural documents/decks)
    • Virtual or in-person event materials
    • Internal and external custom requests
  • Develop design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization, advance our brand strategy, and are aligned to our style guides
  • Evolve, maintain and implement brand standards
  • Manage resource library and requests for all brand assets
  • Production work inclusive of photo correction, templating, and controlling variable data
  • Liaison and provide approvals to external production and fulfillment agency
  • Assist with proofing and quality control of branded creative materials internally and externally and with key production and fulfillment partners
  • Onboard freelancers across various creative disciplines when necessary
  • May be assigned additional duties/responsibilities as needed


Preferred Experience / Skill Set


  • 7+ years of design experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing internal and external creative teams including agencies, freelancers, or contract creatives
  • BA, BFA in design or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of four-color, spot, and digital printing processes and prepress requirements
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud programs, MS Office (Working knowledge or proficiency with CSS and HTML a PLUS)
  • Must be a strategic and conceptual thinker with the ability to ideate and execute creative for multiple mediums (print, digital, social/online, and video)
  • Experience with managing multiple creative projects from concept to production
  • Experience with retail design, workflow, processes, and structure.
  • Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking skills
  • Unwavering attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving
  • An articulate spokesperson capable of building credibility with franchisees and business partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and execute efficiently
  • Highly motivated, organized and a strong communicator
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
