Well established Concrete Construction company that's been providing over a decade of concrete experience and solutions for our clients. Southstone Construction is looking for an organized, responsible and driven shop manager.

The Shop Manager will manage all of the company’s Fleet vehicles, Dump Trucks, Semis, and Heavy Construction Equipment as well as oversee the shop warehouse. Work with the Shop's In house and Field Mechanics, Supervisor(s) and Operations Manager to ensure efficient controls and procedures.

Core duties and responsibilities, among others, include the following:

• Responsible for managing the companies’ preventative maintenance program for all company vehicles and heavy construction equipment.
• Schedules all of the maintenance on company vehicles and heavy construction equipment
• Monitors all motor vehicle records (insurance, registration, inspection, maintenance, etc.), Handles all warranty claims and documentation
• Handles all aspects of heavy machinery maintenance and repairs (i.e. ordering parts, scheduling services, etc.)
• Familiarity with Komatsu, John Deere, Hitachi, Bobcat, and Kubota equipment
• With prior approval, researches, buys and sells small equipment, rentals, and supplies
• Routinely inspects and follows up on all equipment in the field ensuring its condition
• Manages and oversees mechanics in both the shop and field; and ensures the shop and yard team maintain a well organized, clean and functional department.
• Must be able to prioritize daily work load and plan ahead for the business demands
• Document and maintain proper records of time spent on each repair, parts and materials used, and detailed descriptions of work performed
• Ensure that all parts and materials not used are returned upon completion of the service work
• Welding experience a plus
• Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word are a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
