NURSE ASSISTANT - CERTIFIED
Acute/ER/LTC - NOC Shift
Multiple Positions:
A. Full-time with benefits and bonus
Join our staff of caring professionals providing aide and assistance to Hospital and ER patients and Care Center residents.
FOR FULLTIME ONLY: $5000 Sign-On Bonus Agreement: $2,500 paid upon successful completion of introductory 90 day period, and remaining $2,500 paid at six months. Resign or terminate prior to completion of 1 full year of employment, full bonus must be repaid.
DUTIES
- Demonstrates competency in accordance with standards of professional development program
- Maintains performance at level of certification, basic, intermediate, advanced or expert
- Responds to signal lights/bells to determine patients' needs
- Bathes, dresses, and undresses patients
- Serves and collects food trays and assists patients who require help
- Assists residents with ambulation using care planned assistive device or stand by assist
- Toilets patients, assists to toilet or changes patients soiled undergarment
- Changes bed linens
- Responsible to record intake and output and to record tray monitors
- Oral and dental care
- Follow established Restorative Program and document results
- Places resident/patient wishes and supports their choices concerning meal times, bed/wake up times, clothing choices, etc.
Other:
- Follow established standards of practice and reports change of condition
- Perform all duties in accordance with established techniques, standards, and operational guidelines of the facility
- Performs tasks, not directly related to patient care, to maintain a comfortable, orderly, clean and safe environment
- Gives assistance in maintaining optimal physical and psychological functioning of patients and families
- Maintains written and electronic records and charts of care provided
- Attends in-service and staff meetings at a minimum rate of 70%
- Assures patients' rights to privacy and confidentiality in all aspects of patient care
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program
Experience:
- Previous experience in the health field desired.
Professional Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Nursing Assistant - Certification with the Washington State Department of Health
Physical Requirements:
- Safely lift up to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, and/or crawling
Special Training/Skills:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Ability to perform basic math, units of measure, and common decimal fractions.
- Ability to effectively communicate, read and interpret instructions.
Working Conditions:
- Potential exposure to communicable diseases, hazards due to unpredictable patient or improper use of equipment.
