Administrative Assistant
Jacob Young Financial is seeking a motivated Administrative Assistant for a quickly growing firm. This position will provide administrative and clerical support for the office. The ideal candidate will have an interest in finance and be committed to expanding in the position as the company evolves.
- This position will work independently in a small professional office environment
- Office is located near the Watsonville Municipal Airport
- This position is full-time (40 hours), Monday through Friday
- Dress code: Business attire required
- Simple IRA Plan with a 3% match after one year of employment

Position Requirements
- Ability to communicate with co-workers, clients, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to successfully manage, organize and prioritize simultaneous tasks
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and meet deadlines
- Ability to take complete and accurate notes
- Skill in operating various office equipment, including personal computer, fax machine, copier, etc.
- Skill in utilizing various software packages such as Microsoft Office &
Outlook
- Skill in working with Internet browsers
- Skill in verbal and written communication
Job Duties/Tasks
- Answer incoming calls from clients
- Determine callers’ needs and direct them to the appropriate person
- Contact clients via telephone to schedule and confirm appointment
- Greet and direct clients to the appropriate person
- Perform general administrative and support functions for the office, including maintaining files, preparing correspondence, running reports, copying materials, and faxing information
- Organize, coordinate, and maintain client paperwork
- Communicate with clients to complete new accounts, asset transfers, and other forms
- Handle administrative details of clients’ accounts (Process applications, check documents for accuracy and completeness, gather and input client data
- Handle routine matters for client accounts, including processing name and address changes, account applications, and bank authorizations; answering client questions via telephone
- Set up and maintain client management system
- Assist with other duties and projects as assigned

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
