Job Summary
Certified Nursing Assistant CNA position at Port Charlotte Rehab Center is a full time opportunity for a highly motivated individual contributor. This position performs direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The CNA promotes a compassionate environment by providing comfort and support to the patient and their families.

Compensation & Benefits
The salary will be based on a combination of relevant qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefits package will also be provided including medical, dental, vision and 401K.

Responsibilities

• Execute direct patient care activities to assist and support the care team in accordance with the principles and practices of nursing.
• Ensure each resident receives appropriate and timely care to support their physical and emotional well- being, relaxation and comfort.
• Provide input and participate in the development of individualized care plans.
• Update patient healthcare information and document services provided as directed by the RN.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as eating, bathing, dressing and grooming, when needed.
• Assist in providing a safe and comfortable environment for residents and visitors.
• Report any changes in patient conditions to the nurse or physician.
• Accurately measure/document vital signs, heights, weights, activity and other related information.
• Follow safety protocols in accordance with infection control measures.
• Monitor and maintains supplies and equipment
• Participate in nursing and team meetings

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Completion of a nursing assistant program
• Previous experience in clinical settings preferred
• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check
• Ability to effectively communicate, document and follow through on assignments
• Flexibility with scheduling/hours to accommodate shift changes/modifications
• Ability to follow directions
• Respectful and dependable team member
