About the Role

Uber Freight's Carrier Analysts work strategically with existing carriers to gain an understanding of their specific compliance challenges and to jointly explore opportunities for improvement and success. This position will develop and build new processes and techniques to ensure continued best practices. In addition, it will work closely with operations teams to develop opportunities for continuous improvement. Managing carriers and building strong carrier relationships will be critical to this process.


What the Candidate Will Do

Carrier Performance & Relationship Management

  • Creation and ongoing management of carrier KPI’s & reporting
  • Manage the carrier onboarding process for new accounts
  • Evaluate bid compliance by analyzing actual results versus the response provided in the bid
  • Participate in the development of capacity solutions for Uber Freight Clients
  • Administration and coordination of onsite and virtual meetings for external carriers

Account / Operations Support

  • Provide Operations regular KPI analytics
  • Proactively identify and implement areas of opportunity to drive efficiencies for Uber Freight, our customers, and carriers
  • Bridge the gap between Uber Freight Operations and the Carrier to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Escalation point for the operations team to quickly identify root cause and implement the solution
  • Freight Payment troubleshooting & escalation point

Other Responsibilities

  • Design and compile surveys to measure company performance against carrier expectations
  • Support the LTL Procurement team with ad hoc tasks as they arise

Travel

  • 5%

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or other related field
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience analyzing and managing transportation, either at a shipper, carrier or 3PL. Knowledge of industry, major carriers, cost drivers, best practices
  • Ability to extract data from BI, Tableau, or other sources, validate and conduct advanced analytics
  • TMS systems and knowledge of freight KPI’s
  • Experience working with BI reporting tools
  • Advanced Experience with Microsoft Office
