POSITION: Education Coordinator *2 positions (1 Keller, 1 Nespelem)

SALARY: $17.00 - $24.00, per hour

REPORTS TO: Program Director

LOCATION: Boys & Girls Club, Keller, WA

Basic Functions: Education Coordinator will assist the Keller Boys & Girls Club with the possibility of assisting the
Inchelium and Nespelem Clubs in providing additional academic and social/emotional learning. Will also set up athletic activities for the club. The Education Coordinator will work one-on-one with youth and help staff oversee small group tutoring activities, and to assist our Unit Director with follow up activities with the Keller, Wilbur/Creston and Republic School staff. The schedule
can be decided upon hiring

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Training:

• Applicants must have a positive attitude and desire to work with kids. Experience in youth development and recreation is a plus. CPR & First Aid certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire date. All applicants must pass a criminal background check and drug test before date of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Provide a fun, positive, and safe atmosphere for all Club members, staff, and guests.
• Supervise/tutor one-on-one, small groups, and large groups of youth from ages 5-15.
• Provide homework assistance to Club Members.
• Assist the Unit Director with planning and implementation of the AIM Grant.
• Provides behavioral guidance services to Club Members.
• Others duties as assigned by Unit Director.
• Collaboration with Club staff and volunteers to execute daily programs and activities.

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
