The University of South Alabama’s department of Alumni Relations – College of Medicine is seeking to hire an Assistant Director, Medical Alumni Relations. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions
These are the job duties required of the position.
Essential Functions
- Supports the development and management of a comprehensive and strategic medical alumni relations program to engage USA Whiddon College of Medicine alumni, faculty, staff, and students through various events and outreach.
- Oversees the coordination, execution, and follow-up on all medical alumni engagement activities Including attendance at events that may require night/weekend work.
- Oversees annual fund initiatives including the Medical Alumni Association membership drive and annual fund campaigns to include processing transactions, management of records and reporting through Raiser’s Edge/NXT, the stewardship of lifetime and annual members, and the development of a member benefits program.
- Plans and executes all aspects of the Medical Alumni Reunion Weekend including but not limited to venue selection, speakers, registration details, marketing, and budget.
- Works collaboratively with the relevant Development Officer(s) on the Reunion Class Giving Program.
- Manages the Class Representative Program to enhance alumni engagement and outreach and alumni record keeping.
- Assist the Senior Director with management of the Medical Alumni Association Board, to include board meetings, communications and financial management.
- Serves as the liaison with the Whiddon College of Medicine Office of Student Affairs to assist with student/alumni programming.
- Plans and executes Continuing Medical Education opportunities for faculty, staff, and alumni.
- Collaborates with the Office of Marketing and Communications to ensure the timely production of marketing materials for events, annual fund initiatives, and other needs in support of the Whiddon College of Medicine and Medical Alumni Association.
- Manages the Medical Alumni Association social media account and website.
- Manages the Medical Affairs email account to ensure timely response.
- Supports the team in building a robust prospect pipeline to grow charitable support of the Whiddon College of Medicine
- Maintains inventory of College of Medicine and Medical Alumni Association merchandise.
- Travels locally, regionally, and nationally to meet with alumni, which may require overnight stays.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.
- Related duties as required.
