We are hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This position will manage a large volume AP process for multiple divisions within our company. This position is responsible for leading the AP department, entering invoices for payment, processing payments, vendor management and records retention.

This is a hybrid remote position with three days in office in Shelby TWP, MI.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Leads the AP department in function and supports workflow
• Selects invoices for payment, receiving appropriate approvals, and processing checks.
• Vendor management – collection of W-9’s for 1099 processing, problem resolution with vendors and reconciling vendor statements.
• Drives process improvements in other accounting operation functions as assigned.
• Create accounts payable journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist and provide information and reports to CFO, or other departments as required.
• Handles vendor communication and maintains vendor files, including proper IRS documentation
• Other general accounting tasks and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior Management and or leadership experience
• Prior Accounting experience with a primary focus in Accounts Payable
• Associates degree in Accounting and/or specific relevant work experience
• Three or more years of accounts payable experience. (Healthcare industry experience preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus
