Accounting Assistant Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Answers and responds to residents’ questions and concerns
• Accounts Receivable: Handles accounts receivable by assisting with billing, resident charges, and posting payments
• Accounts Payable: Processes vendor invoices and reconciles vendor statements
• Census: Maintains and records daily census changes including admissions and discharges
• General Ledger: Performs the monthly bank reconciliation and assists in fixed asset record keeping

Accounting Assistant Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Ability to communicate clearly and provide excellent in-person customer service (not a remote position opportunity)
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Team player able to work/communicate with the Controller and various departments throughout the organization

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• At least three years previous accounting experience
