Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in our Corrugated Packaging Division supporting our Waxahachie, Texas (DFW market) integrated box plant. In this role you will start with a competitive salary eligible for a semi-annual bonus where you will be rewarded for your contributions. A successful Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for sustained and profitable sales growth with a focus on new business, customer service, value creation and general market awareness. This position reports to the Area General Manager.

Location: The ideal candidate will reside within a 100-mile radius of Dallas/ Ft. Worth, Texas as this position will be supporting the geographic area/market.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Act as a principled entrepreneur managing your territory as if it were your business.
  • Take a consultative, problem-solving approach to build your territory and support your customers.
  • Create a robust pipeline via prospecting, networking, marketing leads, and other sources to generate growth opportunities.
  • Maintain and strengthen customer relationships through professional sales calls, follow ups and incorporating creative problem-solving techniques to identify solutions.
  • Prospecting new account opportunities by utilizing tools such as LinkedIn Navigator, CRM Microsoft Dynamics (CRM) and Insights.
  • Analyze and proactively communicate customer forecasts, changes in demands and ordering patterns to support the S&OP process.
  • Proactively manage customer projects to ensure customer needs are understood and met, including facilitating product development activities and coordinating production trials.
  • You will have exposure/work cross collaboratively with GP capabilities and act as the liaison between your customers and GP customer service, quality, design, production, accounting, shipping, marketing etc.
  • Utilizing tools such as Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and Microsoft Dynamics (CRM).

  • Time management and prospecting skills
  • Ability to work remotely/in the sales field with limited supervision or interaction with management

  • Ability to uncover problems, issues and needs from a customer's perspective and to incorporate creative problem-solving techniques to identify solutions that create value for both the customer and the company
  • Strong internal and external communication skills including oral, written, presentation and active listening

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • 2 or more years of B2B sales experience
  • Experienced in prospecting, business planning, consulting, and territory financial analysis
  • Demonstrated experience meeting sales objectives/goals
  • Willing to travel up to 50% in the territory with potential overnight travel
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s license and good driving record
  • Current resident of Dallas Fort Worth or willing to relocate to the area

  • Corrugated and/or packaging industry experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
